Kick-Ass!
Kick-Ass!
How many of these things are we going to find?
A great breakdown of the KFC Double Down by one of my favorite blogs, FiveThirtyEight. I love that they’ve managed to stay relevant post-election. Statistics for the win.
“In the end, using iWork for the iPad is a lot like going to the moon. It might be a nice place to visit, and it may even be fun to bounce around for a bit, play a little golf, or buzz around in that sweet little moon buggy, but in the end, it’s not a place I’d like to live, or even stay for any extended amount of time. iWork is decent, but there is only so much you can do for an office suite without a full keyboard and a mouse.”
I did find it unusual that Apple spent so much time discussing iWork, a productivity suite, at the announcement for the iPad, a consumption device.
24 started off slow this year, but it’s been great the past few weeks - better than it’s been in forever. I will miss it.
I don’t always find myself agreeing with DHH, but I do here.
Partially inspired by my friend Paul, I have decided to give Tumblr a shot.
Wordpress was a bit intimidating - I irrationally felt like I had to have hundreds of words prepared in order to make a post. Tumblr feels like it will be more encouraging of my posting habits - funny pictures or videos, links to cool articles, or even short text posts if I feel like it.
I’ve kind of taken to doing this on Twitter, but I remember hearing something to the effect of “Build your own brand - not Twitter’s or Facebook’s.” Makes sense to me. To build said brand, I also set Tumblr to post these to Twitter and Facebook - we’ll see how that goes.
I’m going to go read through my Google Reader now, maybe I’ll run across a link worth posting!
